for watching us tonight. the tea party vs. the republican establishment. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo once again. last night the tea party flexed its muscles as christine o'donnell in delaware and karl paladino in new york came from far behind to win their respective races. immediately after those victories, left-wing media began viciously attacking both people, pulling up old tape of ms. o'donnell talking about sex and defining mr. paladino as a nut. liberal press put forth that neither could win in the general election. that is what is passing for reporting these days. there is no question that some tea party supported candidates are causing angst against some establishment republicans. karl rove, for example, is not a big fan of ms. o'donnell's. >> there is just a lot of nutty things that she has been saying that doesn't add up to. >> sean: sounds like you don't support her. >> i'm for the republican, but i have got to tell you, we were looking at 8 to 9 seats in the senate. we're now looking at 7 to in my opinion. this is not a race we are able to win. >> he

for watching us tonight. evidence that the ground zero imam is associated with a radical muslim. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. now, some who oppose the ground zero mosque fear that the muslims behind the proposed community center have radical ties. and evidence shows that fear may now be valid. the point man in the controversy is imam fiesel abdul rauf who continues to put forth that is he a man of peace, a moderate muslim who wants only the best for his own country, america, and the muslim world. but imam rauf has a troubling association. this man, assistant imam con believes the 9/11 attack was not generated by al qaeda but was an inside job orchestrated by the united states itself. documents uncovered by the investigative project on terrorism show that in a blog posting khan said, quote: >> bill: now, khan is part of a crew called truthers who deny muslim extremists started the war on terror. he was a close associate of the imam rauf. in 1997 khan, rauf and rauf's wife founded the american society for the advancement of muslims. the three are on t

from the fox news extreme weather center. what can you tell us about where this storm is now? >> this advisory just came in minutes ago. still 150 miles now south-southeast here of cape hat tras. weakened a little bit now to 105 miles per hour, sustained down from 140 miles per hour where we were today. and it continues to make a little bit more of an easterly jog here that. is certainly good news for folks across the outer banks. however, some of the rain is moving on shore now. there are winds around 50-60 miles per hour. and as this band right here, is the last image right there. that is where struggle was winds are. we're likely up to 80 or 90 mimp going to get closer so i think around 2:00, 3:00 in the morning we're going to potentially see the worst of this. hurricane warnings in effect across outer banks. and then, we still have a hurricane warning in affect across areas of massachusetts. why in just a moment. we're going deal with three to five inches of rain not as bad across mid atlantic seaboard across new jersey. one to two inches. again, it's going to be moving q

"the factor" begins right now. >> hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. the imam behind the 9/11 mosque speaks out and that is subject of this evening's talking points memo writing in "the new york times" today. imam rauf says that the islamic center located near ground zero will proceed but he will make public who is funding it? imam says the community center is a symbol of tolerance and it shows america accepts all religions. he makes some good points. also he doesn't come across as beligerent or unreasonable at all but with all due respect, he is making one very large mistake. right now, there are more than 100 mosques in new york city so there's no religious tolerance issue here. or in most other parts of america. there is, however, a big religious tolerance issue in most muslim countries. as they don't accept any other religion. by placing the proposed mosque within yards of the 9/11 attacks with no stated purpose for that, the imam has created a controversy. he did it. simply no reason for the mosque to be there. and if some 9/11 families object as
: jonathan serrie live for us. jonathan, thanks. a little bit of north of there along virginia's coast, many beaches are now closed and amtrak has cancelled trains from richmond to washington, d.c. to newport news near the state's coast. let's get to steve harrigan live near virginia beach, virginia tonight. steve, how are conditions there. >> shepard, we're starting to feel the first gusts here in virginia beach. no rain yet. the gusts still not strong enough to drive people inside. still a lot of families walking on the beach. some with small children. really a sense of curiosity here so far. they don't think it's going to pound virginia despite the state of emergency. a lot of people coming out to look at the waves. people on their balconies all along this tourist area looking out wondering how strong this storm is going to get. right now they are expecting the eye to stay 100 miles offshore. they are prepared up to 55 mile-per-hour winds and flooding as well. and some real concern here over a big tourist weekend. several major events scheduled here in virginia beach. a big music concert
